Tom

Thomas R. Seidl was born May 10, 1940 and died November 10, 2002.
Tom made his living as a barber and was a long time member of the
Seymour fire department, eventually becoming fire chief. He and his
wife Marilyn made their home in Seymour.

BTB had a group we referred to as the Breakfast Club (or the Hooters
Gang, depending on who you are talking to). The first time Tom was
being picked up to go with the Breakfast Club to Hooters, Marilyn didn’
t want to let Tom go with them. Tom was diabetic and Marilyn took
much pride in keeping him as healthy as possible. She watched closely
what he ate and was afraid Tom would go off with the group and they
would lead him down the wrong path and botch up all her hard work.
She did finally consent to his going but made everyone aware of Tom’s
eating requirements before they could leave.
