Russell Mielke died October 25, 2002 from the affects of ALS. His
disease progressed very rapidly and he was part of BTB for only a
short period of time. He especially liked it when the group went to
Hooters because that was the only place that had the really long
drinking straws that worked so well. Russ drove truck for Nichols
co-op and he and his wife Joan made their home in Black Creek.
