Beyond the Boundaries
At Joe's Lodge, Inc.
Lee Buntjer was one of the first to hunt with the group and had the
nickname “Hooper”.  (No one knows why he was called Hooper but that’s
what he went by for as long as anyone can remember.)

Lee was paralyzed in a diving accident.  He was a twin, and sadly his twin
sister was killed in a car/train wreck the day after her wedding.
Before there was a special hunting season, Lee would come out during
the regular season - if there was snow on the ground, he was the
instigator in the snow ball fights.  He was here from the beginning
before the original lodge burned.

Recently, the dining area at Joe’s Lodge was named Lee’s Diner in his
memory.  Over the years, Lee’s mother Ada Buntjer  has donated the
use of her land for the special hunt and continues to be a strong
supporter of BTB.
