Beyond the Boundaries
At Joe's Lodge, Inc.
Brad Engen passed away on April 29th 2005 after the
original group of memorial trees were planted.  Private
funds were donated to enable BTB to plant a tree in
Brad's memory, and his family joined us in doing so at
the memorial service.

Brad came to our organization not as a disabled sportsman, but as a helper of
those less fortunate then he was.  He liked coming to the rustic lodge for
meetings and liked what the organization stood for.   In 2004 Brad became a
director and the treasurer of Joe’s Lodge.  With his knowledge and
professionalism he helped us not only with our finances, but with many other
organizational issues.

Brad passed away as the result of a massive heart attack while turkey hunting
in Whitehall, WI.  He died while he was doing something he loved.  He was an
avid sportsman, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, archery and camping.  But above
all else, Brad especially enjoyed spending time with his family - his wife Judy
and daughters Michelle, Abby and Erika.

At the time of Brad’s death he was Chief Financial Officer at Valley Packaging
Industries, Inc. in Appleton.  Valley Packaging generously donated the funds
for the memorial path and center circle in Brad’s memory.
