Big Red was an avid fisherman and loved to hunt. He was a wonderful
family man and was really good to his grandchildren. When he first
started hunting out here he had an old pick-up truck with a big ugly
box deer blind on it. He had four poles on each corner that had a
hard top attached to it that would rise up and keep him out of the
rain. He would crawl up there with his oxygen tank and that’s how he
spent his day hunting. He is remembered as a nice man with a heart
of gold who tried to come across as a tough guy but he really didn’t
fool anyone.
